People I met while delivering snacks for Children’s Church

It was not easy to deliver snacks to 35 children’s churches throughout Khayelitsha. It took us 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete. And it was only half of the 70 plus Children’s churches that happens every week. Ministry workers, Joy, go around twice a week to deliver snacks to all the Children’s Churches. I could see how this ministry could impact Khayelitsha. 4 to 5000 children in Khayelitsha hears God’s message every week. Here are some people that we met during the go around.

A preschool parent’s visit to Khayelitsha (and my mom)

We intended to involve preschool students’ parents with ministries. Our first opportunity came surprisingly soon. I hope this visit to Khayeltisha would mark a beginning. We visited 4 preschools and 1 Sunday School. One of the preschool has 40 children plus toddlers. The principle says […]

Farewell Lisa

After serving Kraaifontein for six months, Lisa from Germany left us with lots of memories. We hope to see her again soon.

Prayer request

Abohna has a skin condition and two doctors can’t figure out what it is. He has bumps and rash all over his body now. It has been three weeks and worsening each day. It concerns us especially because we take him to the townships for our ministries. We will try to see the specialist again tomorrow. Hopefully we can find out what it is at least. It is burdening us both emotionally and financially.

Please pray also for the township children. It will be not fair for Abohna if we apply same standard to him as the township children, but I pray they will know that God is aching for them just as we are aching for Abohna. (Of course more)

Our first Sunday School in Zola

We started it today. About 20 kids came and I think it went well. We will use this as a testing ground for us to implement Montessori method with township children. I hope it will give us and Wendy good insights in carrying out Montessori […]

Auto Mechanic Minstry begins

How ironic. We have two students for Auto Mechanic ministry as well. Classes will begin this morning with a Bible study in about an hour. Their names are Thembinkosi Gibson and Sansire Daziba. Please pray that we can build strong relationships first. Also pray for […]
