One interesting fact that I have learned while driving to Hout Bay with mFundo was that blacks and colors are not separated by the skin color, but by the language they speak. If a back person speaks Afrikaans, he is a color person. I thought […]

I met Thulani today. You probably heard a story from me about American missionary who served in Africa for 30 years. Thulani told me that story. I truly believe in him as a Christian brother. He may lack in many things, but over the years […]

Before Moses died, God lead him to Mount…

Before Moses died, God lead him to Mount Nebo. God said to Moses, “This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob when I said, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have now allowed you to see it with your own eyes, but you will not enter the land.” I remembered it when I was taking pictures of the house. (See the previous post… I was looking down on it from the B&B next door) Did I do something wrong like Moses did? Why am I not allowed to move in and start the ministry?

I don’t believe Moses were resentful because he was not allowed in to the promised land. After his death, God buried him in Moab. Just because he was not allowed in the promised land, it didn’t mean God deserted him. God was with Moses even after his death. No one else was buried by God in the Bible. (correct me if I am wrong) It reminded me that our purpose is not moving into the house and have a school. The purpose is to follow him and enjoy His presence in our lives. I am having a great time meeting up with coordinators and having Bible studies. I have joined Pastor Ohm’s bible study with coordinators every morning at 8am in Khayelitsha. Each morning he meets up with different coordinators. Today’s bible study was with Sakhi and mFundo. We started the book of Act today.

We received a call inquiring about the preschool this morning. I guess the demand is really high. Also the B&B’s owner said she will be sending her 2 1/2 year old daughter to the school as well. Her name is Amarnia, a cute girl. Pray that we can solidify our vision (how to present it) soon, so we can present ourselves properly instead of just a school.

The garage door wouldn’t open, so I went to talk to the owner. I also met the partner as well and, guess what, the partner, Joan, was a missionary in India. She invited us to her church on Sunday and a home church group meeting on Tuesday. When I went to the Monday devotion, I wanted to ask people to pray for me to meet the right people. I was kinda shy to ask. Anyways, I believe God has heard my prayers. It seems every time we walk out the door, we meet the right people. Here it is, another big 🙂

It has been raining in Africa, since we moved into a B&B. We have not been able to move into the house that we plan to run a preschool in, because one of the neighbors objected to the zoning change proposal. We are trying to […]
