I met Thulani today. You probably heard a story from me about American missionary who served in Africa for 30 years. Thulani told me that story. I truly believe in him as a Christian brother. He may lack in many things, but over the years he made an impression on me, actually from the beginning. Every time I thought of him, I was always curious to see how God would provide for him. I believe that God has been a great provider for me. As you can see it (hopefully) in my life, I am more than content with what God has blessed me with. However, I wanted to know how God provides for someone from a very different background than mine. Thulani struggled for many years and mistreated by many. Finally he left Khayelitsha and went to Port Elizabeth. Then, it happened, so I’ve heard. Now he is pastoring a big big church, mFundo said. It was a total leap of faith, mFundo explained. When we went to the Hout Bay church where mFundo was a guest speaker, Thulani was there. He said he came home for a few weeks for his family. His mother is sick and he had to raise money for her. He also has speaking engagements for two conferences. He still has problems to deal with, but seeing Thulani becoming a man of God, as they put it, I have to praise the Lord for his providence. He never forgets his faithful servants.
