We hired a rubbish removal company to take away the junks from the renovation and the previous owner. The wind has been very strong and debris were flying around, which made it my first priority. Because they came 40 minutes late, I ended up missing the Bible study with Chris. I was watching them cleaning the yard and corners of the house and loading the stuff on the truck. It didn’t look like an easy job, and I felt sorry. When everything was done, I paid them 200 Rands plus junk yard fee. There were 4 guys and the owner of the truck. I assume each of them made $3.50 for two and a half hours of back breaking work. Would you work 2.5 hours for McDonald’s happy meal? I really need to lower my self-value significantly to understand people here. I won’t be able to serve them thinking what I do is worth more than what they do. I pray they would be regarded as great in the kingdom of heaven.
